In Karen State, an unknown group bombed a military council force stationed at Dharmarama Monastery in Ward No. 2 in Kawkareik town with a drone, and two residents, including a 10-year-old child, were injured when it burst on the street, residents of Kawkareik said.
An unknown group dropped an explosive on military council troops stationed in Dharmarama Monastery with a drone at around 4:00 p.m. last October 6.
Due to the drone attack, 10-year-old Maung Okkar Phyo and 46-year-old U Aung Ko Latt were hit by the debris from the explosion and suffered unserious injuries, according to residents of Kawkareik.
“It’s just a bomb falling on the road without falling directly on that camp of the military council. The child’s face was a little hit by some debris at first. The old man was hurt in his hands and stomach but both of them don’t have to be worried to life,” said a resident of Kawkareik.
Among the two injured people, 46-year-old U Aung Ko Latt had to be transported from Kawkareik Hospital to Hpa-An Hospital due to serious injuries.
According to a resident of Kawkareik, another bomb attack was carried out by a drone at about 4:39 minutes after the bomb exploded, but no one was injured.
“About 4:30 after the first explosive was dropped, another one was dropped again. I walked slightly away from where I fell. No one touched that place,” said a resident of Kawkareik.
We, People’s Radio Myanmar, have contacted the local revolutionary forces regarding the bombing, but have not yet received a reply.
On the evening of November 3rd, a drone was dropped in front of the police station in Kawkareik, according to residents of Kawkareik.
According to local news sources, offices under the Military Council, and military council troops’ residences in Myawaddy, Kawkareik, Kyondoe, Kyar Inn Seik Gyi, and PayaThonzu from Karen State, were frequently bombarded by drones and being shot and as a result, nearly 20 employees subordinated to the Military Council were killed in September.
