In Karen State, according to locals of Kyar Inn Seik Gyi town, afterward the new chief of tactical officer relocated to Kyar Inn Seik Gyi, the Military Council increased security forces in the whole town.
A local woman said that, following the new chief of a tactical officer being moved to a strategic location, the Military Council Army patrols, with a force of over 30, were conducted twice a day, once at around 10 a.m. and once at 5:00 p.m. on September 1st.
“The troop guards are patrolling day and night. There are more than 30 people in 2 vehicles at around 10 and a half. They are patrolling with 2 vehicles. They turned around at 5 p.m. Lately, there has been no firing of weapons and the firing is quiet now,” he said.
In addition, the newly transferred tactical officer, Zayar Lin, had also issued challenges to the local revolutionary forces, and the residents of Kyar Inn Seik Gyi town said that they were afraid that a fight would break out because he drove around the town with a Mark 2 car all day long.
“I heard that the strategist was challenged. That strategist rolled down the windshield and drove all day and we saw him every day until 6:00 p.m. in the town. After he moved here, he was the only one who challenged people. The first strategist who transferred to another place was calm. There were rumors in the town that, after the Takhun Taing and then Kyar Inn Seik Gyi turned. Those who were afraid were also running away,” he said.
A member of the local revolutionary forces said, “I heard that he has authority and was able to control the Kyar Inn Seik Gyi side quite well in the past. He was handled harshly in this area before and thus he was ordered to transfer here and to control the Kyar Inn Seik Gyi side again. I don’t know if it is called a challenge to the revolutionary forces or not.”
Besides, the departmental offices under the military council, such as the township police station, the General administrator’s Office, and the Land Registry Office were bombarded by drones, and in addition, people who went out after 6:00 p.m. were fired upon by the Military Council.
According to the statement of the revolutionary forces, on September 1st, a helicopter carrying rations, weapons, and ammunition along with 2 helicopters accompanied by the strategist commander, were also fired by the Cloud Wings drone force and the joint forces with heavy weapons.
