In Karen State, Thandaung Township, residents of Thandaung town said that three barns and more than 10 houses were destroyed by arson caused by the military council army in (5) miles of Thandaung Road , Yae Sin Kone village.
Last September 13th, after an unknown armed group abducted a soldier under the Military Council who was returning to his family home in the village of Shan Pyone Chaung, the Military Council Army in Taungoo was stationed in the village of Shan Pyone Chaung with a large force, said a resident of Thandaung.
” A soldier who was returning home to his family’s home in the village of Shan Pyone Chaung on the last 11th of September, went to a pig farm in order to investigate the news of the Local People’s Defense Forces camp and while exchanging news with the military troops, he was captured and disappeared on the 13th of September.Following this, the military council regime invaded the villages in large forces,” he said.
According to the locals, after the deployment, on the morning of September 14th,the military council army raided and torched 4 houses in Kayah Pyone Chaung village in the village of Yae Sin Kone,3 barns and 7 local homes in the east village of Shan Pyone Chaung.
Without such a fighting, due to the houses in the villages being burned and destroyed,in Yae Sin Kone Village , Kayah Pyoe Chaung Village, Shan Pyoe Chaung Village, Children from East Village and West Village, Women and the elderly are fleeing to safety, according to those helping to flee the war.
“The old women and children from the (5) villages such as Yae Sin Kone, Kayah Pyone Chaung, Shan Pyoe Chaung and East Village and West Village, had to flee. There are more than 100, almost 200 forces. Until now, they have been stationed and they have not returned yet,” said a person who works to help avoid war.
At present, military council troops have put up full security throughout Thandaung Town and have also restricted transportation of food, so it is reported that there is not sufficient food for the evacuees.
In addition, according to local news sources ,in Than Daung Town, on the side of Thae Moe Taung village and Yado village, due to the firing of heavy weapons and aerial bombardment by the 7-mile army of the military council army and also Bayint Naung Force, more than 10 local houses were damaged and more than 2,500 residents have been forced to flee for more than 2 months.
