In Karen State, according to residents, 3 militiamen were killed in the attack at the militia’s gate of Thin Gan Nyi Naung village at the Myawaddy entrance.
An unknown group attacked the militia’s gate in Thin Gan Nyi Naung village on September 9, at around 9:30 a.m., killing three militiamen and leaving a vehicle behind, according to a local woman who witnessed the attack.
“They have been firing guns at the militia’s gate near the police station since the morning. I saw the noisy shooting. The shooting went on around 9:30 AM. The shooting side left the vehicle and the militia side lost 3 militiamen,” she said.
A local man said that the road was blocked for a short time after the attack at the militia’s checkpoint in Thin Gan Nyi Naung village, but now people are going through it normally.
“Now people are on the way, and the road has reopened. In the morning, an unknown group came to shoot the militia with a car, and the road was closed for a while because the militia wanted to take pictures of that car. Now passengers are on their way, and they can go through normal,” he said.
An employee subordinated to the Military Council was killed when a drone bombed the Thin Gan Nyi Naung checkpoint at the entrance of Myawaddy town at around 6:30 p.m. on August 7th.
In Karen State, from July, August, and now until September, drone and bomb attacks continue to intercept military council convoys at many townships where military councils are stationed and some departmental offices, according to KNLA sources.
In addition, the police station under the military council and six general offices, including top officers, on September 3, were died and 10 officers injured by a drone ‘s bombardment and. Moreover, police families in the police station’s compound were fleeing their friends and relatives in Myawaddy, according to people close to the police station.
