According to residents, after the attack on the departmental offices under the military council in Kyar Inn Seik Gyi Township, Karen State, people who went out in the evening were being chased and shot at by the military regime.
After an assault with drones on the departmental offices under the military council, such as the township police station, General Administrator’s Office, and Land Registry Office on July 16, a local woman said that people who went out after 6:00 p.m. were being shot by the Military Council.
“Inspections are early in the evening and start around 6 PM. It was a little earlier than before, and then the work was quickly finished and returned home. It looks worse than before, if they see civilians on the road, they are going to shoot and can’t be over a little bite than 6 p.m., there is no patrolling in the morning. But fortunately, there is still no one harmed. If they patrol along the roads always with 3 vehicles,” he said.
A local man also said, “There are inspections at the gates and roads but don’t know exactly where they are. And then, nobody can go after the time has passed.”
Additionally, in the last week of July, the municipal office under the Military Council was bombed by a drone but fortunately, there were no injuries, according to a local woman.
“Although there is no longer high tension in the military situation in the Kyar Inn Seik Gyi Township, there is another drone mission in Kyar Inn Seik Gyi Township, which is being done by other revolutionary forces,” said the person in charge of the Cloud Wings drone team.
According to residents of Kyar Inn Seik Hyi Township, the Military Council forces are firing heavy weapons every night in the Township.
Myawaddy town, Kawkareik Town, Kyondoe Town, Hpapun Town and the Than Daung Gyi side in Karen state, the Military Council Army and the KNLA joint forces are fighting almost every day, and in some areas of Hpa-An and Hlaingbwe Township, the military situation on both sides is said to be high tense.
According to a statement from the Karen National Association of News and Information, since the day from June 1st to August 2nd, five civilians were killed, three were injured, and some houses and monastery buildings were significantly damaged because of the SAC.
