According to a statement from the Red Dragon column, joint forces of KNLA carried out a drone attack at Taung Kalay police station in Kyaikmaraw Township, Mon State.
On July 23rd, at around 12:00 AM, the Red Dragon Column, Federal Wings Drone, and KNLA Battalion(16) attacked Taung Klay Police Station with four 60 MM bombs.
As a result of the attack, 3 military council soldiers stationed in Taung Klay police station were killed and 2 were injured according to Ko Hein, deputy commander of the Red Dragon Column.
“At Taung Klay police station, their strength is estimated to be around 50 to 60 personnel and they are not returning fire against the drone,” he said.
On July 23rd, a local man said that he heard shots fired by drones around 10:30 a.m. near Ta Khun Taing village.”There is shooting with the drone about 5 times now, and I hear about 4 or 5 shots almost every night.”
“I don’t know where it comes from .Because it is sunny this morning, I can only hear about 5 or 6 shots carried out by drones,” he said.
“At present, the local revolutionary joint forces are still in control of the area in the Kle-Ta Khun Daing village of Kyar Inn Seik Gyi Township”, according to Ko Hein, the deputy commander of the Red Dragon Column.
Between July 11st and July 17th , according to residents, they heard the sound of shelling and bombardment almost every day after the battle between the KNLA joint forces and the military council that entered the hill of Nyein Chan Myaing (Sita Thukha Monastery) in Kyar Inn Seik Gyi township.
In addition, the military council encampments in Karen State and Mon State, police stations under the Military Council, checkpoints, and relevant offices under the military council were often bombarded by drones.
