According to the Information officer of the Comrades of the same blood, due to the increase in fighting between the Military Council Army and the People’s Defense Forces, the number of residents fleeing their homes has increased by thousands during this month in Tanintharyi.
Fighting with the People’s Defense Joint Forces has become common almost every day as the military council troops have raided the Tanintharyi Region where Yebyu Township, Launglon Township, Thayet Chaung Township, and Tanintharyi Township, said a resident of Launglon.
He added, “Since the 12th of July 2023, due to the military council column entering and has been kept shooting with big weapons, no one can stay in the village for at least 10 days and the villagers have been going back and running around. No one dares to stay at home. Military soldiers randomly arrest them,”
According to Information officer of the the Comrades of the same blood, there were increasing war refugees and still difficulties in carrying food and medicine.
“Moreover, the difficultly in the transportation of Food and medicines is very tough, one because of the weather and then the military inspects and closes,” he added.
Some people who flee from their homes to avoid war, stay in monasteries and some live-in gardens, and some live in their natives’ houses. They live as if it’s convenient, reported Information officer of the Comrades of the same

Currently, because of the continuous rain in Tanintharyi Region, the war refugees are suffering from seasonal flu and malaria, so they need medical assistance, said a person who assists displaced persons.
“This season, there are a lot of people who get sick and suffer from malaria and more medicines are needed,” he added.
Due to the increasing number of battles, the number of war refugees has increased by more than 5,000, and more than 30,000 people are fleeing the war in the Tanintharyi region, according to a person who assists the war refugees.
On the morning of July 22, there was a clash between the local defense forces and the military army in the village of Nahkan Taw in Launglon township, and the military council deployed and added more forces.
